I kid you not... all day... chance would have been a fine thing! Today I have been fluctuating between happy and relaxed, and passionate [to be fair that time it was justified!]

I had a fantastic day [apart from a brief coughing fit when I almost passed out, I'm fine though don't worry], I spent the whole time singing along to the radio... I don't know where all the customers have gone but the ones that did phone were delightful.

I didn't realise how down I was up until this point. This morning I realised that it was the first day in ages I had an actual smile on my face. Things that would annoy me during the day, and they certainly annoyed me last week, were just bouncing right off.

I think its just finally hit me that I can have my own fun and I shouldn't feel guilty. I would be moping at home trying to do work because there was no time to do it in the office. At this precise point in time... I couldn't give a monkies. I've met some great new friends and strengthened old acquaintances. I'm having a social life that I'm enjoying for once. That sounds awful... I enjoyed my social life before its just that there wasn't much of it because we are/were all so busy.

After the health kick and trying to bring myself back to some sort of sensible place in my life I feel like I'm getting there. There are more reasons to carry on with the change rather than fall off the wagon and go back to my old ways.

I'm off to see who else I can annoy with my hopefully not too temporary happiness. Big hugs all round. xx

Do you have a favourite part of autumn?

My favourite part? I love walking through the leaves. Of course it has to be dry... don't think that'll happen this year! Dragging my feet through the giant piles of leaves in the park always puts a smile on my face.

2. "It's too cold to snow!" Do you think it ever is?

I only ever use that when sarcastically agreeing with someone who's just said it. "Oh yes, definitely too cold to snow!"

3. Do you feel there is still a place for British Summer Time or should we just stop changing the clocks?

Changing the clocks annoys me because I always forget at least one clock, but I do love that "extra" hour in bed.

I love my food too much to only eat it at certain times of the year. The nearest I get to seasonal meals is adding hot chicken to my salads in the winter.

I'm not a neat person. I can cope with piles of stuff all over the place because I know where everything is. My desk, or any area I occupy for leisure is beyond organised though. When everyone went away I had the table in the kitchen. I had my laptop out with all the essentials lined up in the order I would use them. I get annoying at times because I know I waste time doing that when I should be doing other things!

I noticed the other day that when I get dressed I always put my trousers on right leg first. I thought this was a bit daft so I tried doing it the other way around. This wasn't very sensible as I almost fell straight on my arse. So more of a physical necessity than anything.

Tic tacs and skittles are tough for me to share. I have to eat tic tacs in pairs. Skittles have to be eaten in the right order of colours. Yellow, green, orange, purple and red. Unless its a particularly stressful day, in this instance, yellow, green, and then the last three poured into your mouth together until you get a sugar induced headache!

I'm a creature of habit rather than superstition. I step on the cracks but so far my Mum is alright... touch wood. I'm not bothered about ladders or picking up pennies [although I do drop them so other people can pick them up]. I've always done the whole "touch wood" thing but never really as a superstitious thing, I don't expect it to do anything.

No party for me, too poorly. To be honest I'm not one for parties full stop. Last time we went out it was a complete bust, didn't enjoy it at all. I much prefer staying in with a funny movie and some ice cream.

3. What's your favourite scary movie?

I really enjoyed 1408 with John Cusack. I was so glad I watched it in the day. I think I'm getting to the age where I can't watch scary films at night as they really freak me out! Great film though, heavy on the psychological stuff.

4. Trick or Treat?

Oh why not both, open the door and throw a bucket of water at the critters and follow it up with some chocolate.

5. The best Halloween costume is...?

Hmmm.. tricky. The Doppler Effect [Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory sported that one]. I'd love to go in a Jane Austen-esque period outfit, but failing that I'd have to go superhero.

This morning I got woken up and couldn't be bother with getting up, I figured there wasn't much point.

I've spent three days watching films, drinking ribena and getting worn out walking to the kitchen. That last one is one of the draw backs of being ill when there's no one around to look after you!

I'm going to have to venture out tomorrow though as I'm about to run out of medicine! I did attempt to do some work, and be productive but I got my notepad out and I just fell asleep. I tried five times and within about three minutes each time I was asleep. Why doesn't that happen at work?

I managed to be calm in the chair, no crying or trying to bite his hand [if you can't tell, I have issues with the dentist]. But when he told me I'd have to come back I almost cried. He's filled it with some temporary stuff and I've got to go back to have it filled on November 9th. Annoyingly, the tooth now hurts more than it did when I went this afternoon.
Climate change has always been a topic I have avoided in general. One of those things you know is happening but isn't happening to you [yes I know it is happening to me but you know what I mean!] Another one of those topics that you feel you can't do anything about. How can one person make a difference? So whats the point in trying? I'm guilty of thinking these things and it makes me feel awful.

I recycle and as far as the environment goes thats the most I do. I buy a lot of consumer products and thinking about the amount of plastic I "buy" as a result of the items inside is horrific. More companies should consider how they package things. I know this is not technically climate change but its part of everything that contributes to it.

We are devastated by weather every day somewhere in the world. There are hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes... the list is horribly long. In the UK we stay relatively unharmed by the major events but it wont stay like that. If there's just a handful of things we can do to do our bit then we should. After all, its better late than never.

They are contemplating making you drive independently, meaning they will drive you out of town for about 20 minutes and then you have to follow signs back. Hello?? What are they thinking? It'd be hilarious! We were talking about this and I pointed out that I would never leave for a trip without knowing where I was going. I'd either program sat-nav or study a map so I had some clue where to go. I'd never go out and wing it.

We were out on the road Sunday coming back from Essex and it took three of us to spot a sign at one point. So if you are trying to concentrate on the road, or more to the point driving the car so you can pass the test, how are you going to be able to do that? We all know that road signage isn't always that brilliant... I really hope that's not a serious plan, could you imagine? How lost would you get before they pointed you in the right direction? I'd be quite tempted to get them horrendously lost, pull over and tell them that if they want to get back to civilisation they'll pass me!

We got to see it with Sarah Jayne Dunn [Mandy from Hollyoaks], Lisa Riley [Mandy from Eastenders] and Sally Lindsay [Shelly from Coronation Street]. It was fantastic. Riley made a truly brilliant performance and watching Lindsay moan on stage, well that just did things that no woman should experience in public.

There were a few men in the audience, quite why they came I don't know but they were playing along and not being miserable buggers so good on 'em. There was something quite primal about a theatre full of women screaming the words [I'm going to censor them but I don't know why I bother, they're only offensive if you read them that way!] ct and p*s.

Included in the monologues were the questions what would your vagina wear, and what would it say in two words. I was thinking about this and I think that my vagina is a lot more confident that the rest of me so I'm going with a pair of leather trousers and a corset and it would probably say "take me". That was just what sprang to mind, I may contemplate it more.

The whole event had my mind racing, for good or bad I don't know. All I know is that I've said the words vagina and c**t more than ever before in my life and I feel free. We're supposed to be taking the c-word back, its not derogatory, but I don't think I'll be saying it in public anytime soon just in case!

Okay so I know he was married, but damn it he looked so hot! The conversation was along the lines of "shall we do something tomorrow?" to which I replied I couldn't as I have plans and I can't Thursday as I have to go into work in the afternoon for my job review and I didn't want to do anything Friday because I was going to go down the pub for lunch with the girls from work. So clearly its my fault that they can't do anything this week! I pointed out they could go somewhere without me... obviously that was too logical!

I have discovered another bonus of eating healthy. I decided to have some ice cream and normally I could quite happily vegitate with a tub of harg-and-arse but I got half way through and felt incredibly sick. Good for my waistline but my brain really wanted a whole tub!

She's just been through Freshers Week and had been asking us to come visit. Gladys managed to con another friend into driving, poor little bugger, I wouldn't have wanted to do it but he's an angel.

When we pulled into the campus I was quite surprised because it was seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Walking around though it really was like a little village. An American diner, student bar, mini mart, post office. If you didnt know any better you might have thought you were just in a little town somewhere. I particularly enjoyed the price of drinks, a pint of coke here costs £2.30 and I brought two for £2.40. Got to love these student bars! We went and played some pool and as it was a club day it was free.

The flats themselves did look like something out of the dodgy part of London, and it felt a bit like a prison once you were inside but I've seen worse so she's not doing too bad. Nice bunch of people apart from the odd psycho who had thrown bottles out of the windows. Really made me pine for university life in some ways. That's not his fault though because usually I only have to see him because I need an emergency appointment. Any way, he has a wonderful smile which makes up for the pain!

I don't know how many of you have been to chiropractors but they press on some of the muscles to loosen them up. [I know thats not very technical of me!] I'm feeling a bit bruised from that but I don't mind as its much better than the pain I was in before. Plus I know that once it eases off the rest of me will be "fixed". So definitely good pain.
