There's been another post about pointless council activities, and I couldn't agree more. I'm going to take a pause and talk about one of their good services. Recycling (snore). They've just increased our recycling collection, plastic and cardboard. The local guys are great, one of them sings away and is a joy.
These people sort through our rubbish, show them a little bit of respect for god sake. I put out my boxes this morning, neatly packed and at the edge of my property then I pootled off to work. On the way I walked past several other neatly stacked boxes. Well done those people. For my neighbours who seem to think that these nice guys should take any old crap from your household... shame on you. How long does it take to flat pack a box? 20 seconds? I saw piles of empty boxes laying over driveways. They'd have gone in your boxes had you taken the time. Now those poor guys have to pick up and crush boxes that are, due to some torential rain, soaking wet.
