I realised that I haven't done any writing in ages (this is something I notice quite often unfortunately). I don't know what it is, maybe a lack of inspiration. I go through phases with all things. I'll write for two months solid and then stop and read book after book. At the moment I think this has taken over from everything else. Its definitely keeping me sane though.

I've been thinking more about a holiday. I need a break from work and I can't just take time off and stay at home because I always end up getting called with work problems. I was wondering about a couple of days away in England. Is it a bit too sad though going away on my own? I know I shouldn't care. It'd be nice to go to Oxford properly and not just a flying visit for work. That reminds me, I have to be really geeky and add Oxford to my list of places I've been to on Facebook! Okay so maybe thats what makes me sad... not going away on my own!

I've just been on a wild goose chase down to work. My Dad was down at the petrol station next to my building and they said the alarm had been going off since 7am. So I got ready and toddled off down there, searched the place and spent some time being perplexed. When I went and asked them they said, "Oh we realised it wasn't your alarm it was actually our air pump making a noise". How do those two things sound alike? I really can't imagine that a tiny air pump makes the same noise as a building alarm.

Never mind, it was nice to go out. Despite the dull weather it is really quite hot out there which I didn't expect. I don't know what the weather is going to be like tomorrow but I fancy going out. Might pop out to the cinema, Iron Man looks quite good. I haven't fancied seeing anything at the cinema for ages but it looks like my sort of film, then or course there's the next Indiana Jones out soon.

I love going to the cinema but I can't believe how expensive its become. Over £7 for a ticket and the about another £7 if you want any munchies while you're there... and I'm sorry but I do find I have to have some sweet popcorn and one of those slushie things!
