  • LOVEFiLM On My LASTNeRVE

I've just had my rental email from LOVEFiLM through. I still have a disc at home and they have confirmed they are sending me Hotel Babylon Season 2 disc 1 and Heroes Season 1 disc 2. This would be fine if I had had disc 1. I would think seeing part of a series without the beginning would be fairly pointless!

I'm watching Kill Bill Volume 1, from my own collection not rental. After watching Death Proof I felt I needed reassuring that Tarantino had some talent. If you want to see Death Proof don't be put off by my dislike for it... the ending is worth the wait but the time still felt a bit wasted.

  • Shopped Til I Dropped

That was a tiring day, but enjoyable.

So here's a list of everything I brought:

    - Some of that eye gel I saw on the television.
    - Swimming costume
    - Two skirts
    - Black top (a one shoulder number so can't wear it in the sun)
    - Underwear (functional type not for entertaining)
    - A travel wash bag and make up bag
    - Some purple pens
    - Some Fathers Day goodies
    - A travel journal for when I go away
    - Some fancy chocolate from Hotel Chocolat

Okay so I know the chocolate is a bit naughty but its only six chocolates and they're so damn yummy.

I did quite well and managed to get one of the things I went for. I tried really hard to get the black trousers but it was impossible. Everything was either linen, cropped or made of that really awful synthetic material. We had a nice lunch in Nandos and contemplated what acceptable wedding attire was these days. The conclusion? We have no idea, pretty much anything as long as you look smart and don't clash with the bride.

When we finally got back to the car we were shattered. I ended up having a bit of a snooze. It was a great day, although I was appalled by the drivers on the motorway. People on their mobiles and eating while they drive, are they mad? Most of them were driving faster than we were and we were going 70 most of the way.

  • Shopping Extravaganza

Well I wasn't content with going to Croydon shopping, same old boring stuff, so we're off to Bluewater in a bit. Probably foolish on a Saturday, especially one thats on a half term week... hmmm just realised that last bit... but I'm still going!

    Things I need to get:

    - That eye roll on gel I saw in an advert during the week.
    - Black trouser (in an effort to look slightly less scruffy).

Tune in later for a list of what I brought... I expect those two items wont be on it!

I'm obviously really keen to get rid of all my wages in one fell swoop. I can't decide whether to go into Paperchase. I love it in there, I'm a stationery nut and always end up buying stuff in there that I like so much I don't want to use it! We shall see.

A handy note to all men who accompany women to Bluewater. This is a great place to get exercise. Leave your other half in a shop (for the more mature probably Marks & Spencers, for the younger, Top Shop) then use the phrase "I'll be right back". Leave the chosen shop and walk round that floor of Bluewater. Instant exercise, and its free... the only part of this trip that will be. When you go back in no doubt they will still be standing in roughly the same place trying to decide which outfit will go with the shoes they have in their wardrobe at home. (Please note though that when you get home the shoes will not be the same colour she thought and she may have to go back to Bluewater to exchange the outfit.)
