My friend and I went to a pub down the road for lunch today, sat out in the garden, it was lovely. There wasn't much of a breeze but luckily we were under an umbrella. It was nice to catch up, although lunch wasn't that good. It was a shame, the food used to be so good there but it has become very generic. Lots of good pubs seem to be abandoning proper home cooked food. I remember getting things "in a basket", are there still places that do that? Ahh the memories... a generic cheap sausage, chips and a sheet of red and white greaseproof paper... all presented in a plastic weave basket.

Yes some of those things are rubbish, but very entertaining!

Working with books has been very bad for my bank balance, once my wages go in quite a lot goes back out on books. At least one of the perks is getting advanced copies for reviews and the like. I've just finished reading Artemis Fowl and the Time Paradox, unlike other series this one hasn't got boring yet. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to be travelling in time too! No, it's not sad that I read a childrens book... how many of you read Harry Potter?! I have come to the conclusion that childrens books are much more entertaining than adults ones. They skip reality and do it while having fun, adults books that skip reality are often too serious I think.
